And since we all know that having a mapped out customer journey is vital to keeping loyal customers and creating new ones, it is essential to know customer journey trends to keep us updated on how to keep our customers and future customers happy. Here are some customer journey trends to watch in 2023.</p>
<h3><strong>Increased focus on personalization</strong></h3>
<p>In 2023, businesses will be focusing more on creating personalized customer journeys that cater to each customer&#8217;s specific needs and preferences. This will involve using data and analytics to gain a deeper understanding of customers and tailoring interactions and experiences accordingly.</p>
<p>There is a greater emphasis on creating emotional connections. Businesses will need to focus on creating emotional connections with their customers to build loyalty and drive repeat business. This may involve things like creating personalized and emotional marketing campaigns, providing exceptional customer service, or offering unique and memorable experiences that customers will want to tell others about.</p>
<h3><strong>Greater integration of digital and physical touchpoints:</strong></h3>
<p>As customers continue to shift their shopping and purchasing behaviors online, businesses will need to find ways to seamlessly integrate digital and physical touchpoints in order to provide a cohesive and consistent customer journey. This could be using mobile apps to enhance in-store experiences or augmented reality to improve online shopping for example. There are simpler ways to do this such as text messaging immediately after a service to seek feedback or a rating.</p>
<h3><strong>Rise in Chatbot usage</strong></h3>
<p>Having said that customers are now using online more for their purchases and other purposes, chatbots would be a good use in terms of integrating digital and physical touchpoints. This comment from Sep Niakan explains it well:</p>
<p>“Artificial intelligence (AI) is making its way into the commercial world. Many businesses currently employ bots to automate sales and marketing operations, and chatbots are having an even greater impact on the digital consumer experience. AI chatbots allow brands to scale their service on up to 70% of their most commonly asked queries, allowing them to respond and resolve issues faster. For brands that choose to follow this trend, AI for customer experience will be a game-changer.”</p>

<p>We’ll be seeing more of chatbots and variations of this type of artificial intelligence as it’s one of the best way to address digital and physical touchpoints in the customer journey.</p>
<p><strong>Don’t forget to stay human!</strong></p>
<p>One thing to remember in this conversation is that ultimately all sales are done through a relationship with your customer, and the best way to create that sale is through authentic human behaviours and interactions. Using AI and digital technology in the customer journey can enhance, expedite and create efficiencies: however there are times when we can’t replace the need for a human. Nor should we want to.</p>

You’ll need to find ways to reset and refocus after the holiday rush so you can start new projects and get unstuck in the coming year. Here are great ways to do just that.</p>
<h3><strong>Disconnect</strong></h3>
<p>We’re all guilty of checking our phones, email or social media too many times a day. This can have a negative impact on your productivity, but it will also make you feel more overwhelmed and tired.</p>
<p>The holiday season can be stressful for many people, especially after the holidays are over and everyone starts their new schedules. This is why taking some time out of your day to recharge and reset after the rush of the holidays is essential.</p>
<p>When you go offline, you will have time to think about what happened over the past few weeks and reflect on how you want your life going forward into the new year.</p>
<p>One way that you can do this is through journaling. If you’re not used to writing down your thoughts or emotions, try starting a journal where you can write down everything that has been going on in your life lately. Trust me, it’s cathartic and enjoyable!</p>
<h3><strong>Give time to doing the things you love to do outside of work</strong></h3>
<p>One of the Great Ways to Reset and Refocus After The Holiday Rush is to Spend time doing the things you love to do outside work. This can include spending time with friends, family and loved ones or even vacationing.</p>
<p>Spending time away from work will help you clear your mind and give you time to think about what’s important. It also lets you step back from the daily grind and look at things differently.</p>
<p>By doing these activities, you will get out of your head and into your body. You&#8217;ll be able to see things in a new light and have more energy than you would have had otherwise.</p>
<p>A great way to heal after a busy holiday season is by getting outside and enjoying nature. Whether it&#8217;s a hike in the woods or just going for a walk around the block, being in nature can help reset your mind and body back into balance.</p>
<h3><strong>Assess yourself</strong></h3>
<p>Evaluate yourself. It’s not just about what you did but also how you did it. Evaluate yourself for the way you interacted with others, the way you handled your time and money, work and the way you handled everything around you.</p>
<p>One of the best ways to do this is to take time alone. Take some time to consider your life, goals, and what you want to accomplish in the coming year.</p>
<p>The holidays can be an excellent time for reflection and self-evaluation, but it&#8217;s important not to let all this extra time go to waste by becoming too introspective. If you spend too much time thinking about how things could have gone differently or what could have been done better, you risk getting discouraged and quitting yourself before you even start.</p>
<p>So please be balanced in your approach!</p>

The benefits of joining a business community are many and varied. Here are some of the top reasons why I think joining one can help you grow as an entrepreneur:</p>
<h3><strong>Get exposed to new perspectives</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Get exposed to new perspectives. If you&#8217;re working in a small company or your own business, it’s easy to get comfortable and lazy with the same routine. But when you join a business community, you&#8217;ll meet people from all walks of life—from big-name brands to small startups—and get exposed to their ideas and how they implement them.</li>
<li>Learn more about what makes companies tick. It would be hard for anyone to understand its goals without having a clearly defined mission statement. Factors such as market trends and competition can influence these goals and missions.* Learn how others have approached similar challenges.* Participate in events hosted by other members of your community that allow networking opportunities.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Gain new insights</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>You will have access to various information and resources to help you grow in your career.</li>
<li>You will meet people with similar interests and goals, which could lead to new business opportunities or referrals.</li>
<li>You&#8217;ll gain insight into how other businesses operate, which will help you better understand your customers&#8217; needs (or potential customers).</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Expand your expertise</strong></h3>
<p>One of the best ways to increase your expertise is by joining a business community. In this case, &#8220;expertise&#8221; refers to knowledge and skills that you have acquired over time.</p>
<p>For example: if you&#8217;re new to programming or have never worked on an app before, joining a community will give you access to people who know how things work in that field and can help guide you through learning how things work. You&#8217;ll also be able to ask questions about these subjects—and get answers from other group members! It means that once someone figures out something new for them, they&#8217;ll pass it along, so others don&#8217;t have to go through all those same steps again.</p>
<h3><strong>Mentorship/Companionship</strong></h3>
<p>Mentorship is a two-way street. You can mentor someone by offering your expertise or someone with more experience and knowledge than you, can potentially mentor you.</p>
<p>There are many benefits to having mentors in your life:</p>
<ul>
<li>Mentors help improve skills and knowledge in ways that might not have been possible on your own. This can include learning new skills or strategies for completing tasks that seem difficult or intimidating at first glance (like learning how to write an essay). You&#8217;ll also find yourself questioning things more deeply once they&#8217;ve been explained by someone else!</li>
<li>Mentoring relationships are often long-term, so they&#8217;re great ways of building relationships over time—and learning from each other along the way!</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Make connections</strong></h3>
<p>The best part of joining a business community is connecting with others in your industry, learning from them, and making new friends.</p>
<p>You may only be able to attend some events or participate in some discussions (although the more active members will often host meetups), but you must try and get involved at least once a month. You&#8217;ll likely find yourself learning new things about what your colleagues businesses do, while meeting others who are interested in doing business with you—whether it&#8217;s helping out with marketing strategies or providing feedback on product changes, or even just sharing some ideas on how to improve overall customer satisfaction levels for customers who have purchased from you before.</p>
<h3><strong>Grow your network</strong></h3>
<p>Being in a community means you are able to naturally start networking and growing your group of trusted people around you. Networking is a great way to find out about new opportunities. It&#8217;s also a great way to connect with people who can help you grow your business and meet the challenges of running a small business.</p>
<p>When you network, don&#8217;t be afraid to reach out and ask for advice or introduce yourself by saying something like, &#8220;Hey, I&#8217;m John Doe from XYZ Business.&#8221; If you join a community based on a theme, purpose, or topic, then you already have something in common. That increases your chances of being able to take that initial connection to another level.</p>

This time of the year is a prime shopping season for most people which means it’s a good time for retail businesses and many others, especially those who want to get ready before the Xmas period begins. It’s best that your business is prepared so it can make the most out of this season. Are you all set for this year’s Holiday Season? Check out these guidelines to get your business into the holiday spirit and maximize holiday revenue and enjoyment.</p>
<h2>Develop your holiday strategy</h2>
<p>Consumers can be fickle, so being nimble is important. An approach that worked in 2013 may not be right for 2014, and especially not in 2022! Take time to analyze your business&#8217;s previous holiday sales and replicate the strategies that worked, while modifying those that didn&#8217;t.</p>
<h2>Create a marketing calendar for this holiday</h2>
<p>Create a marketing calendar and budget that leads into and covers the full holiday shopping season. If your business isn’t one that sells things during the holiday period, then make your calendar and budget based on your own business’s seasonal steps.</p>
<p>Use special offers and other incentives to target first-time and returning customers, leveraging all appropriate channels to reach and draw in different audiences. Engage customers on social media by offering deals to the first 50 people who like a Facebook post or who retweet a comment about your business; hold customer-appreciation nights for small groups; reward customers who refer new customers. These are just a few ideas you can use, so get creative!</p>
<h2>Have holiday promos or special deals</h2>
<p>Did you know that 69% of shoppers now seek more deals and coupons online? (source: Brand Report). Promotions make it more appealing for customers to actually purchase so it would be beneficial to create some promos or special deals.  This works well for product-based businesses, however some service based businesses may not want to use a discount lead – however they could use a ‘value add’ instead.</p>
<p>Here are some sample promotions you can implement:</p>
<p><strong>Free shipping.</strong> According to the National Retail Federation, 75% of consumers expect no delivery fee, even on orders under $50. While this may be tough to swing as a small business, meeting customer demands will be more important than ever this holiday season.</p>
<p><strong>Sitewide discounts. </strong>This is a common sales tactic for eCommerce retailers, but that’s because it’s been shown to work year after year. Whether it’s 10%, 50%, or somewhere in between is up to you. Decide what discount works best given the products you sell and your financial position.</p>
<p><strong>Select bundle deals.</strong> Sometimes, bundling is the way to go. Customers love convenience. Try putting together complementary products you find customers often purchase in the same order, or that naturally pair well. For example, if you sell hair products, you may bundle together a shampoo, conditioner, styler, and comb set. You can even offer a percentage off the bundle to make it more appealing.</p>
<p><strong>Value added offer.</strong> Instead of offering a discount, offer something in addition to the main product that is complimentary or a natural add-on to it. Find a way to give them something to increase their perceived value and experience of your product.</p>
<h2>Review Sales History</h2>
<p>One of the most reliable insights you should always check is your sales history. It is a library of information that you could use in creating your marketing promotions and strategy. For this holiday season, you can check your sales history and determine which product or service should be the ‘star’ of the season.</p>

<p>It is a fact that focusing on optimising the customer journey has become a vital activity for businesses. Your customer journey will help retain customers and get you loyal ones.</p>

It helps develop a deeper rapport with their consumer base by creating authentic connections based on shared values. As such, why is it the best approach today?</p>
<p>Brands with societal purpose will also drive more business growth. This has been proven by extensive research and social analysis over the past few years, driven by different organisations. What’s been made clear is that purpose-driven marketing strengthens your brand authority and credibility, and it can open doors to new opportunities with companies, customers, influencers, etc. who share your values. Having a clearly defined mission, that is linked to a clearly defined purpose and then investing in that purpose and living it every day, can strengthen an entire organization and build a strong connection to your target market.</p>

<p>A purpose-driven brand is not solely about marketing; it’s a way of doing business and a way of operating. Purpose-driven businesses are successful for several reasons:</p>

<li>They have more motivated and energised employees who have better job satisfaction and stay longer</li>
<li>Their customers love purpose-driven brands with excellent customer service! They will be loyal and talk to others.</li>
