Lead generation is frustrating for many business owners. We have put this series of 7 steps for you to demystify lead generation and lead capture for you.
Step 2 of 7 – Lead Capture From Existing Traffic To Your Website
Now that you have re-engaged your current database or list and generated more income from your new offers, the next step is lead capture via the online media that you already have in place…
Does this sound like a good idea?
Why start something new when you haven’t optimized what you already have in place and have probably invested a good amount of time and/or money into, right?
Now, this step involves making a FREE offer of some great information from you in exchange for a person’s email address via an Opt-in form…
This can be done on your Website and it can be done on your Facebook page…
Even though this can be done from your Facebook page, you should be aware that best results are gained from Facebook when you pay for advertising.
This is not simply “promoting” or “boosting” your posts on Facebook; effective Facebook advertising is a tricky and it is a fine art that requires professional expertise to get good ROI….
All right, so this step is about you making a Free Offer to potential customers using the online resources that you already have in place; your Website and here is how you do it…
Create a Lead Magnet
To start your lead capture, you’ve got to have a great Lead Magnet that offers help on solving a problem or a pain point in your customer’s experience…
Keep in mind that has to be worth downloading, so it should be a significant length of about 2,500 words or more…
Your Lead Magnet would also benefit from a graphic designer to give it a professional look and feel, including graphic statistics, callouts, images, and other features…

Design Your Landing Page
The next step in your lead capture… once you have your Lead Magnet, is to design and set up a web page (landing page) for it to reside on that includes a Lead Capture (Opt-in) form…
Once deployed, you can link this landing page to your Website, your social media promos, blog calls-to-action, and separate email promotions and newsletters…
In other words, you make your Free offer on your Website and the prospect clicks on the offer and is then taken to your landing page on which they give you their email address in exchange for your Lead Magnet…
Once your prospect completes the Optin form on your landing page, it will trigger an email that delivers the Lead Magnet to them automatically…
Kinda neat isn’t it? It all happens without your personal involvement.
All right…
You are now getting repeat sales from your established customers (Step 1) and you are now capturing and nurturing new leads from the online media that you already have in place.
Your lead capture is working, but we are not done yet…
Look out for Step 3 of 7 in this series…
